wat is the diffrence from RS, to the ex/lx base models
Oh boy.
The 7th gen Civics have a whole bunch of trim designations.
DX
LX
EX
EX Special Edition
GX
HX
Hybrid
They all have varying equipment and/or motor/transmission. The most common are the DX, LX and EX...the DX is stripper, LX is mid grade and EX is top of the line. The Special Editions came with additional unique equipment from the EX.
The GX is a naturally gased powered version.
HX is the fuel miser.
And the hybrid uses a 1.3 liter I-4 combined with an electric motor to aid in fuel economy.

Think you're right mate. I don't know for sure, but i've read/seen that some have K's in them but i don't know if that was a limited number or swapped.
Actually, thinking about it, they must have been swapped because somebody would know if Honda made K-mounts to suit our cars. Maybe i was reading false info...
I think they come with leather and various other little bonus "sporty" bits though. Not sure, i've never been 100% on exactly what they are either.

1.7-liter VTEC engine (Civic X, X4; Civic Ferio RS)
The VTEC mechanism closes off one intake valve during low- and mid-range engine speeds to realize high fuel economy. Furthermore, at these speeds the engine also maintains strong torque resulting in highly responsive driving. This arrangement also makes for powerful acceleration and sporty running performance.

You guys are right, The Civic Ferio RS has a 1.7L SOHC VTEC engine, comes from the factory with body kit and all. I'm from Jamaica and i owned one until i crashed four days ago (unfortunately). Mine was a stick and runs great. I'm not sure if its like your guys EX (i doubt it), I know its not in the states. Once you drive a RS you don't want an ordinary civic, i can tell you that much. Its real sexy and can sit beside any other car when it comes to expectations. I definitely want another one, its just real hard to find. Its a masterpiece in its own rights. Just wonderful. Heads turn when rolling in this. I had a grey/silver with 17" gun metal rims.
This has been covered. The RS model is JDM, comes with the lip kit, JDM mirrors and visors, sport suspension, different front grill with the RS emblem, etc.
It was available in the 7th gen shape starting in 2000, unlike other markets where the 7th gen started in 2001.
All of the 6th gen RS that have been imported to this country have 1st and 2nd gear at the steering wheel, not sure if they continued that on the 7th gen RS.
