Default ??? about b18a

someone's got a longblock from a 92 integra for a decent price. i was wondering if those are obd-1 or obd-0? also... i'd want to install a hydro tranny.... would i need a conversion for that or will any b-series hydro tranny bolt up? if the motor is obd-0.. could i just use a b18b obd-1 harness on it? thx for the help in advance

They came in both OBD0 (90, 91) and OBD1 (92, 93)

Hydro tranny will bolt up.

Don't know about the harness if the motor is OBD0. At the very least you're going to need an OBD1 distributer or at least the plugs. If the motor is OBD1, you can use any OBD1 harness.

one more question... how do you know if it's obd1? my friend told me u can tell by the injectors. what specifically should i look at to kno if it's obd-1 or obd-0? this is going to be my first swap... and my friends have a lot of experience with swaps so everything else should be ok. just want to make sure to pick up something that's easy to swap. thx

im doing a b18a1 swap into my eg hatch right now.. as long as you get a obd1 dizzy then everything will click in except for i thik 1 plug you have to extend. i am also using a ls hydro tranny and it bolts right up also. I thought a ls swap would not be hard to do and it really isnt.. the hardest time i have had was finding the right brackets that bolt onto the mounts. for a ls swap into a eg if it is a motor out of a 90 or 91 then you have to get a ls BRACKET for the driver side mount. one you got that you are good for that side and thgen you have to get the rear bracket that bolts up to the fire wall. and the 92-95 civic tranny passanger side mount works with the ls hydro tranny.

so as long as you have all the mounts and b rackets you can basically take your stock civic wiring harness for the motor and plug it into the ls one, wit hthe exception of that one plug. also i had to replace my injectors with the stock d series ones becaue the ones that came with the motor for Obd0. but that is really easy so no worrys there.

and as for shift linkage.. b16,b18, and i think type Rs are all the same but im not sure. maybe gsr but who knows. i dont see why it wouldnt be. good luck on the swap!
