Default BserieskllR's new project thread lots of pics! 4dr. YO!

Ok i let my old project thread die down cause i made some changes in my setup so lets start over!

Here is my 91 4dr when i bought it for $700.....my orignal intentions were just to have a clean daily driver cause i got in a little trouble with my old crx but you know how that works...

so i had some kyb struts and ebay coilovers(big mistake) also a set off knock off mugen rnr's threw them on the day after i owned the car. looked clean but rode like crap

then i threw in some si hatch seats and an lx cluster with tach.

also polished the dull paint up

here was my boring power plant

then this happened and i let the car sit for a year cause i lost interest for a bit.

then finally got off my a$$ and picked this d16y7 with 40k miles for $200

got rid of the wheels and got rid of the horid ebay suspension and picked up some tein basics

removed my a/c cause it didnt work the ghetto intake is cause my other one was grounding out alot.

then i picked up some ls mesh's and got a set of nitto neo gen's for them, great tire imo and some recent shots

then i ran over an already dead possum and this is what it left behind gross haha

ok now on to the good stuff here are all the parts ive got waiting to be put on(going boost!)

headgasket set for when i put in the arp head studs

87 yugo radiator, its a half size rad. that is about a half inch shorter then the stock ef radiator but there not to easy to come by also a slim fan, and i had the inlet and outlet rewelded on the radiator

oil line kit

guages and pod

battery relocation kit

intercooler with reducers and t bolts

camgear catch can and heat wrap

just a shot of one of the charge pipes, coupler and tbolt clamp i have a bunch more obviously

exstended lug studs new hood latch cable mine broke and the plastic peices that goes between my hood and filler peice

peices to build my log manifold

my garrett t25 or t28 turbo?? it was free and in good condition

my super solid motor mounts filled with polyurethane and then painted wrinkle black these things have been curing for 5 years haha.

and some headstuds

i also have a new walbro 255 pump, clutchnet 4 puck sprung clutch with yellow pressure plate, traction bars should be here any day now will be ordering a hurst short shifter and wideband next week, and ill be chipped running turbo edit.

the teardown will start may 15th when i start my vacation from work, i took a whole month off for this even though it should be done sooner, also gonna do a wiretuck and all that good stuff and be adding an si tranny so stay tuned for updates

Looks great

My EF started the same way... as a daily.

Then I swapped a d16z6 in and converted it to OBD1 with some suspension goodies, then I had to boost it.

Good luck with the boost project!

Rep the 4doors
why does the car look "orangy" in the pics with the fake RNR's?
nice start to a solid project!

with those seats you deff. have to do the dash swap looks sooooooo much better if do decide to do it make sure you swap out the dash harrness cus its a bit differant and wont plug in to the the plug above your fuse box cus it has 2 more wire than the sedan and the plug is bigger if you do decide to dothis let me know if you need any help over the interweb

i just took the stock seat rails with all the old seat belt stuff and they bolted right on to the si seats pretty easy, big progress will be in a week and a half when my vacation starts, right now ill just update when i get new goodies in.

yea i just have to come across a complete dash and then the fun will start with that!

The reason i got rid of the old fake wheels cause one of them was bent and a friend of mine bought a crx from me and wanted them with the car so off they went. eventually i would like some circuit 8's

UPDATE!!!!

ok well like i said i called into work sick but i really wasnt so i could get some work done to the car

got my traction bars and clutch today so i decided to put in my traction bars, half rad and slim fan also i put in my new hood release cable and the plastic peice that goes between my hood and filler peice on to the good stuf

gen 3 etd racing traction bars, very nice very nice

old crossmember out, ive always hated these big *** cross members in the ef/ed cars and could not wait to get rid of it.

pictures of my clutch net 4 puck clutch

all the **** i pulled out

traction bars in

getting the 87 yugo radiator in, dont mind my zipties i forgot my mounting bracets for the slim fan at home

my custom overflow tank mounting, i actually used a bracet from the windsheild washer tank to mount it haha pretty sweet

just some shots

i hate my intake!!!!!!!

had to fab up some radiator mounting brackets

before

after!!!!!

much better

well thats it for now when i take the motor out im gonna clean everything up like give the radiator a nice coat of black and get rid of the zip ties. thanks for all the positive comments guys oh and i also had to mod my hood a bit casue the rad. cap was hitting the webbing but thats it and it fits in there better then the eg radiator and its dual core

more to come

Ok, just for the record I'm still the O.G. for Sedan's in Florida (well not really but I call dibs ). Since you're not running a front mount, how are you countering engine movement?

haha, right now im just running the 3 mounts, 2 of them have inserts, i will be installing the super solid mounts in the first post in so im sure there wont be a problem with any movement, right now its not reall that bad it just feels like when i had all 4 mounts without any inserts.
