I put a screw driver in between the rotor vent and the caliper and caliper bracket.

You unstaked the nut right? It can be a bugger with hand tools, but use the longest breaker bar you can find or slide a pipe over the end. I never had any luck with an impact driver on axle nuts, so dont waste your time. Hold the brakes tight and jump on the breaker bar handle. You can also try soaking it with some PB Blaster. Or lastly, you can also try bleeding your brakes

If you've got wheels without centercaps. You can also set the car down, put the car in gear, and have someone step on the brakes while you jump on the bar. Just be sure it's got a warranty, because you may break the breaker bar.

that's the way i did it when i did my clutch, it's not that hard to get them off with an 8 foot tube on a 3 foot breaker. but the air tools didn't help me much when i tried those, even at 135psi, the gun just wouldn't break em, and it's a snap on composite..

However air tools are very good for helping the pb blast to penetrate. Put some pb blast all over it and rap on it with a hammer, or use an impact and keep on it for a while. The vibrations help the pb penetrate deeper in the threads.

I've never used PB Blaster on an axle nut with impact. Only used it on tough exhaust bolts and then I use hand tools to break it loose. I think the impact action of the impact gun is doing more than the PB Blaster getting deeper into the threads.

i went to meijer and bought a kawasaki electric corded impact gun and it work wonders. took two seconds to get the nut off and easy as hell to put it back on. just buy it and then return it after your all done. its $60 and there was a sale on it. good luck

Easiest way is to leave it on the ground and take the center cap off. Leave the wheel on and it can't move.

I had this exact problem a week ago or so when parting my crx out. Use an air gun, takes 10m. I used a steel bar and bent it and it didn't budge. Air gun pulled em right off.

when i didnt have air tools, i just left it on the ground. Got a breaker bar with a metal pipe probably over 8 feet long, got on very end and pulled up as hard as i could till you hear a pop.

its a 32mm nut, with that much torque, its going to give eventually

dang this z10 crossmember only lined up on one side and we stripped the bolt holes trying to force it ftl.(either my frame is tweaked a bit or the design is off a little, probably both imo)

i'm gonna have to find someone to weld it in or something...that would work right?

the absolute easiest way (if you can drive the car) is to drive to a place where they fix transport trucks (where they will either do it for free or tell you to expletive off) get them to take it off with their 3/4" air guns, slap on some anti-seize and torque the nut back on to spec. It will always come off pretty easy the 2nd time.

When people say their air tools dont work, and that they were using 130psi... what is the CFM on the compressor.
