help with axle removal
i have b18c1 that im trying to take apart
the engine is still connected to the subframe which is all out of the car.
im trying to take off the axle nut (32mm)
but the brake rotor is still spinning.
i put a skrewdriver in teh slots so it won't move anymore
but i try to break the nut off and it won't budge.
is there an easier way to seperate the front subframe from the engine?

to get the axle nut, apply the brakes. either get a friend or put a piece of wood between the seat and the pedal, and jump on the bar.

start off with a very good air gun to get it off - if that doesn't work, then you need a breaker bar. get a good, strong ratchet, put the 32mm socket on it, then find a really long steel or sturdy hollow tube that will fit around the handle of your ratchet and use it as a breaker bar. hold the end farthest away from the socket as you can (the longer the bar, the better it works) and push down on it. if that doesn't break it free, remove the lower ball joint nut, take the hub assembly out of the lower control arm and disassemble the cv boot. then you can pull the rest of the axle out. good luck.
