What stock honda decks can you put into a crx? Any?
My piece of **** Aiwa skips when I run over a frieken leaf. Would I be able to put in any stock deck as long as I have the code? If there's only certain decks I can put in, what ones are they (cd player btw)
you should be able to wire ANY deck to your car. Either with a harness purchased from an audio shop (this connects to your stock harness and gives your wire outs that are labelled, you basically match them up with your deck inputs) or, if you know the wire outs from the stock harness (or your aiwa is a solder and crimp job) you can just connect your new deck in the same way.
As far as stock decks, that fit stock harness...no idea
Hope this helps anyways,

Edit: so yes, if you have the code a stock deck should work no prob, assuming you know the wiring

awesome, yes, I did my own crimp/soder job on my past two decks (both aftermarket). So I can use any honda deck just as long as I match up the wires correct? I can buy the harness that plugs into the back of the honda deck right? Then I could just match up the wires and I'm set?
Don't know if you'll be able to find a harness that fits into the back of the new honda deck, because most harness' fit the Stock wiring harness of your car and allow for a crimp job with the new deck.
You may need to find out the pin-outs of the new honda deck your putting in, and then do a crimp job with your stock wiring harness. There may be an easier way (like maybe some oem harness I don't know about) but, it should function the same way (all decks need essentially the same things, power, turn-on, 4 speaker pairs, ant in, remote ant / accessory)
Look into the pin-outs of the deck before attempting it just to make sure you can do it on your own, if you don't need an oem honda deck why not get a nicer aftermarket one? You can find them cheap on ebay or local classifieds and imo i like em better than stock.
