Default WOW, this thread will go unaswered. I need a EF proffesors help on this one.

Ok , bought a 88 civic with no window regulators. Ive picked up two different sets, one from a 91 dx and another from a 90 std version.

Now on each set the bolt holes on the stabilizer bar (rather then the bolts around the crank, they fit fine) are off about a quarter of an inch when lining it up to the door.

My question to you guys is; are the 88-89 window regulators idfferent then the 90-91 models? Do I need to get std Window reg's or will a dx model work?

I think this will be the only un-answered thread in history.

They are different. You need regulators from doors without the door mounted seatbelts.

I'm not 100% on this but from other threads on this topic involving 89s only HF 89s had 88 doors. All 88s are the same though so if possible look for 88 stuff.

Also...

CRX and Civic fenders are different but 88-91 the fenders are the same they just have different hardware in them (plastic things screws go into vs clips)

you can just buy them new from the dealer, I had a 89 and there were 3 different part #'s. I think the 88 there is only 1. it only cost around $40 with the shop discount

You are correct, forgot it was just the hardware. Thanks for correcting that.
