spark plugs

Default spark plugs

hi i have a d16 and every morning the car doesnt start. i have to take the spark plugs out and clean them off and turn the car over to blow out all the gas and put them back in and it cranks up. once it cranks it goes all day but the next day i have to do the same thing. it sucks and was wondering what it is? its like the plugs foul by themselves. i need help thanks guys

Well you obviously have a fuel problem. Are you sure you're getting enough spark as well?

yeah cuz after i take the plugs out and clean them off (they are soaked in gas) and put them back in it starts right up

btw its a dual point d16

If you're not getting any CELs I'd test each injector for pulse and spray. One might be stuck open.

you think it would be better to get new injectors or just do mpfi swap?

Compression test warm and cold and tell us how it turns out.

If there is something wrong (headgasket/warped or cracked head) then coolant or oil could be settling when you turn the engine off.
