Default supercharged+turbo

I realize this is kind of a noob question but I am very curious about this. I herd a kid rambling on about one today and I am wondering if it can be done and has it. Can some one actually tune enough to do this. Can anyone show me a picture of any car that is turboed and supercharged. Thanks

yes it can be done and has been done before. its called twincharge. basically uses a screw type supercharger that mounts to the intake manifold and a regular turbo system.

search for the new VW. They are twincharge. I did my senior project on supercharger and turbocharging a John Deere 4045 engine. Everyone knows it works but all in all it cost about 8 grands to implement the idea. GTPower simulation shows promising results but cost way too much.

I am searching for the rough cad drawing to show you what it looks like....

Here:

centifugal supercharger and oversize turbocharger for a 4.5L JD engine. Just a rough CAD to show what it looks like.

Nissan March .9L pushing about 115hp, IIRC with an MA09ERT motor. I wouldn't mind one of those to tinker with.

They set it up so that the supercharger runs until the turbo reaches full boost the the supercharger shuts off. The car also runs nitrous. Has 4 bottles in the back.

i dont know how you would just 'magically' turn off a supercharger without getting rid of the belt

"At low rpm, when the turbocharger can't muscle up enough positive boost pressure, the supercharger compresses the intake charge. Once the turbo spools up, the supercharger is cut off via the pulley that drives it directly from the crank."

the supercharger has an electro magnetic clutch, just an A/C compressor.
