alright so ive had my little hatch for a few months now but just recently whenever i drive my car for anytime over 30 minutes or untill its warm it doesnt want to start when i try to start it. like, ill drive it..go in my boys house to by some bud or something then come back out and it wont start, it cranks once then dies like the battery is dead. but if i wait untill the engine is completely cold and i go to start it, it will start in less than one second of cranking. im completely stumped by this and i have no idea what to think of this. the motor is bone stock so mods have nothing to do with this. if anyone has any idea what this could be please let me know, im sick of push starting my car!! lol thanks!

Edit: oh and one more thing, whenever i turn left my car squeals really loud anyone know if thats a wheel bearing or something? thanks!

 

check your main relay..have the same probelm or you could tap the relay..

Next time that it wont start...bring along a spare spark plug. Pop one of the plug wires off and hook it to the spare plug. Have your buddy turn the car over. This is only going to check for spark, but maybe something like your distributor is heating up and not working properly.

Worth a shot.

maybe a ignitor/distributor problem... I dont know, but if you need a dizzy i got one from a DX 91 Sedan.. bump

WHEN IT DOEST RE START WILL THE STARTER KEEP CRANKING OR DOES IT FEEL LIKE THE MOTOR IS LOCKED UP?

 

well when i try to turn it back on the main relay clicks, pump primes, then it does absolutely nothing as if the battery is completely drained. no clicking of the starter no cranking of the engine or whatever its dead silent as if the batery wasnt even there lol.

EDIT: you know what, next time it happens ill make a video on my digi-cam to show you guys what i mean.

gona have to say its ur distrib/ignitor..
brother had same problem and turned out to be ignitor and i had a similar problem and i ended up buying a brand new distrib.
