Default Pics from my 4/27 Infineon trackday

Had my second trackday in a month at Infineon. The track is fairly technical and one of the smoother tracks that I've been to. This time out, I was trying to focus on trusting the tires more and upper body more over the tank. No real oh sh*t moments, just a lot of snot coming down my nose that day (allergies). Pulling 2:05-2:08 lap times (**** I'm slow - top AFM guys are running 1:47-1:50's)

Turn 2

More of turn 2

Turn 4 (trying to pass my friend)

yup. I had some A* SMX Plus' before and they wouldn't fit over or under my leathers so I returned them. I'm probably going to pick up a pair of Sidi Vertigo Corsa's since they look slim enough to go under the leathers

You don't have to tape them unless they're glass or if you leave the taillight plugged in (I got too lazy to tape them so I unplugged them)

I have another trackday at Thunderhill on 5/31 and thinking about doing a Reno/Fernley day (since its only $145) but I should be done after that for awhile (still trying to close on a house)

If anyone wants to go to Thill on the 31st, let me know. My friend is holding a private trackday ($180) and it would be fun to hit the track with some of you guys.

Funny Italians

That explains why there were so many guys @ the track last weekend wearing their Dainese suits like that. I figured they were just copying the Doctor and laughed as I passed them.

Have you looked at the Dainese boots? They make two styles, Over and Under. The Unders are for boots over pants, and the Overs are for pants over boots. I have a Laguna Seca suit and Sidi Vertigos and I can wear them either way (over or under) but the D boots are prety nice too.

When I did the STAR school at Buttonwillow JP was singing the praises of Thill, it really made me want to give it a go, but its so far from LA! I'll put in in the maybe stack K?

How are you guys getting to Thunderhill? I don't have a truck but would consider it if I had transportation.

I tried on the Dainese "under" boots and didnt like them. The ankle brace is a little uncomfortable.

I think Thill is okay but then again, I like more technical tracks (if you crash, its not as ugly) like Reno/Fernley and Infineon. Thill is a very fast track. Let me know if you want to go on the 31st

You could trailer it. But that would take a loooooooooooooooong time.

My friend is bringing a 20' trailer so I'm going to have him take my bike (along with probably 5 other bikes he's helping to bring up there) and I'll drive my Miata up. I'd find you a ride but we're leaving from SF
