Default Transmission removal

I am in the process of changing my clutch in my 95 accord. And last nite and today from noon till now, ive been trying to split the tranny from my block. Ive tryed everything i could think of but no luck. ive split a tranny in a 88 gmc mason dump with absolutley no problem, but this accord is being a bitch.. any one with help PLEASE chime in, this is my daily driver so i need her on the road asap.

Thanks!!

i have a 95 accord and i have replaced quite a few clutches. im not getting what you mean by split the tranny from the block , once you have all connections discnnected and both drive axels with jack shaft removed, cross member removed. and the one transmission mount completely removed thetransmission will start to fall from the block , of course all the bolts will have to be removed from the housing and also the rear motor mount. most people miss the ones behind the motor . its easy to drop it but a pain to get then spline shaft back in there. even though a tool does the hard work of lining the clutch disc up . i highly recommend that you leave the mount on the top left of the engine for last , put a jack under the transmission and remove the mount , then lower and guide it out. a repair manual will carry you through this step without any problems .

well first off make sure you have all the bell housing bolts out..i had this problem..there was one hidden on the back of the tranny...also just take of the three taps on the mount and drop it...you'll have to take it off anyways because its a **** ton easier to put the tranny back in when you have the motor mount bolted up to your car first and slide the tranny up into the three holes...its much harder to leave the mount on the tranny and slide it up in there perfect

no, my tranny is of fthe bell housing. Its just not off the drive shaft. The i stripped that hard to reach 14mm directly behind the tranny mount, so the tranny mount is inhibiting it to come off the drive shaft.. I think im goint to have to mutalate my tranny mount to get it off and buy a new one.

you could always drill out the 14mm you stripped..then again you said it was hard to reach so forget that...im still lost at what bolt you are talking about are you talking about the bolt that goes through the mount? if so i thought that was a 17mm

its the one you have to get under neath your car to get to. Its on the underside of the tranny mount. i had to use a 6 inch extension and a deep socket to get to it..
