Default dohc zc crx idle problems

ok guys just replaced my iacv on my dohc zc in my 88crx si, it was havin problems, when it was cold it would idle at like 1500pm, then when warmed up would surge from 1500pm down to 900pm and o back ad forth, so first i cleaned my old one like 5 times, then got a used one,but it was garunted to work fine, off ebay, ad it still does it, but i have no check engin light, or code on my ecu, also i tried 2 diff ecu's, but after my car warmed up and it started surgin up ad down i shut it off, ad poped my rad cap off and i had some oil in my coolant, from when my head gasket went, u guess i didnt flush my system good enough, could this have anythingto do with the problem?

Flush your coolant, then make sure all the air is bled. Also make sure your idle speed is set correctly per the Helms manual and that your throttle cable isn't too tight.

Again, have you adjusted the idle speed and checked the throttle cable? Clean out your TB with carb cleaner as well.
