Default car is lagging?

I have a 94 civic hatch with a gsr swap with a skunk intake manifold. right now it is throwing a check engine light for knock sensor. car runs fine, but once i hook up the knock sensor car lags at 2300 rpm. why is this? could i have a bad knock sensor?

once you hook it up? why is it disconnected right now, or you've replaced it and when you hook up the new one it still lags? which one?

also, did you reset the ecu when you worked on it?

You using 93 octane gas? GSR runs a higher compression ratio.
