bored at work...

my car makes great power, but I just cant put it to the ground. Ive made some suspension/tire changes since this video so I hope to improve this weekend at Etown. my best so far is a 12.5@127 but that was with a different final drive setup (4.05FD).

A buddy of mine was screwing around last weekend on street tires and went 15.xx at 116 but damn lol.

 

I have a buddy with the same problem. 130 plus but only hitting the 12's.

I was getting really bad hop, even in the water box, so I had to baby it out of the hole on those runs.

so I got a set of traction bars and a full coilover setup which seem to have eliminated the hop completely. obviously it has to be dialed in some. For Etown I think Im gonna go with some M&H DOTs and full stiff setting in the rear to see how that works out.

yes hop does suck. I broke an axle IN the water box one time. It started hopping so bad, I let off the gas and it was still hopping and finally snapped after I had already let off the gas.

 

set boost at 1/2 lb psi that will solve it

it seems if u hit rev a lil longer, it would probably help.

I relize it sounds retarded, but it goes from spinning to ******* to spinning.

 

Im more concerned with less spinning at this point, then Ill work on hitting the next gear with least amount of lag. I did some street testing tonight and got a good feel for how much throttle to give it and still keep traction. felt really good so I cant wait for Sunday.

^ mine was worse 15.0@114+ mph.
I though it be impossible to break into 14's lol

my brother who has a ls/vtec hatch that time ran a 14.4@97mph he/friends laughed at me the whole way home and they still do when they see the video
