cant open trunk via trunk release inside car.
went to open my trunk today and no luck. the handle pulls up quite a bit but no "pop" to open the trunk. i installed my fogs on sunday and removed the door sill plastic but it all snapped back together and i just took a look and it looks fine.
could i have hurt something under the plastic to cause it not to open?

same thing happened to me after i installed my fogs. the trunk latch opened and then i messed with it by putting the key in. then the damn thing wouldnt open again. the latch wouldnt even go up. i took the thing back to the dealer and the guy told me that the release thing was just not put into the right place.
just take it back to the dealership. 5 minutes worth of work and all fixed.

thanks for the tip
but i prefer not to take my car to the dealer unless i absolutely have to
are you saying that i just have the plastic wrong? i can always try and jiggle it again or look to see what i miss-aligned or whatever

before u bring it to the dealer
since YOU installed your fogs....
check everything by the sill
maybe a clip popped out and lodged in the way of the cable/mechanism.

i did my fogs this past weekend as well. if you don't lign up everything that deals with the lock, then your lock will be messed up.
i'm a perfectionist so i took my door sil apart in order to have my lock function again. just make sure the white plastic thing attached to the lock cylinder lines up with the slit in the bottom portion of the door sil. also inside is a silver piece that controls the lock...im thinking that silver piece is slightly out of place. goodluck man.

for as many fogs as i have done, ive NEVER taken the whole driver side doorsill piece off, i pop off the front and it allows me enough room to pop off the kickpanel, never had any problems
thanks for the info man
i will check it out as soon as i get the chance. i am also a perfectionist and thought everything aligned properly. i also didnt remove the door sill plastic completly just moved it to the side. guess its not aligned right, i will report back after i take a good look
