I have a cable y1 on my b16 sedan and the casing broke due to a nasty pothole i didnt see coming all gearing inside is fine and I have a hydro dc teg trans which I want to swap in however I would like 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th out of my y1 and the long ls 5th for freeway driving. I also want the y1 diff as i have read it is stronger then the ls one. Is it possible to use the y1 parts inside an ls hydro trans? NOTE** ( a cheap cable trans in the NM area would work to.)
Any advise is appreciated

before you swap transmissions you would need to get a cable hydro conversion for your car. there are two options

and http://www.innovativemounts.co...41001
basically one uses a master cylinder and one doesn't..does anyone have any experiences with of these pieces? i'm looking to go hydro in my ef..

You cannot put Y1 internals into a hydro transmission. See this post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1979069
You need a LS 5th gear -- it has to come from an Integra 90-91... which I believe is no longer available from dealer (there's a 5th gear write up archived here that the writer indicated he bought the last one in North America? Do a search)
You can try to find a 90-91 5th gear and a spare case, or both (a USDM S1 gearbox) to work with the parts you have. Or you can scrap it all, and get a YS1 case and get some vtec internals swapped over into it -- unless you can score a VTEC YS1.
