I think he was referring to South Georgia Motorsports Park. That is a nice venue for drag racing.

 

yea thats cool! two drifting events in fla this year. cool. great planning. garbage series. since when is drifting more important then drag racing..

you guys seriously need to rethink your event planning. heres some advice. sooo many people would love to run in a turbo street class thats only dot tires in fla, yet we have no event. there would be a bigger turnout if there was a class of dot cars that were 10.50 and slower and everything else runs swfd. there would be a massive turnout of street cars if you opened up the street tire turbo class to more people.

cater to the everyday racer/consumer not companies who specialize in drag racing. the reason why the events are dying is because most everyday people dont have a class where we can run our cars and have any chance of winning.

Just an FYI, the power street class is exactly what you are talking about. Cars should run in the range you speak of. Still no Florida events, but at least they have a class where you can run.

 

just anf fyi, thats why i said there are no dot races in fla.

 

NOPI has put on some good drag racing shows. Last weekend in Atco there was some amazing turnout and I believe MIR is usually good, and last year they said NH was great. I am sure NOPI has tried to make everyone happy, but that is an impossible thing. You can run power street with NOPI. I know of one racer from Fl that ran most of the series last year in P/S (Dave Marks).
to NOPI for giving up a place to drag, drift, wear a bikini, or get in the foam pit, whatever your passion is.
