turbo timer and alarm

Default turbo timer and alarm

how to i get my alarm, it's a viper not sure of the model #, to cut on once my turbo timer has wound down and shut the motor off.

The only way I can think to do it is splice into the IGN output of the turbo timer and diode isolate. Run this into a relay which interrupts the IGN trigger input of the alarm. That way the IGN trigger is only interrupted when the turbo timer is running the engine. You could arm your car immediately and it wouldn't be affected by the turbo timer. If you want me to be more specific ask.

anyway to explain that in noob terms? maybe i can get my friend to do it for me. i need to know which wires to splice, and what kind of relay to use, etc.

thanks ME, i'm not messing around with it myself, so i'll talk to the guy at my shop and see if he can go at it from what you've told me. I just hate standing next to the car for 40 seconds just so i can trigger the alarm.

There's no way to explain it in a non-technical way. Best bet would be to get a techy friend to help you out.

40 seconds try 4 minutes. i have my car set to auto and average it does 2-4 minutes.

you really don't need it to go for 2 to 4 minutes unless you run it hard all the time. 1 minute is more than enough for regular street driving and when i run it hard i'll set it higher.
