Just swapped a y8 intake manifold on my y7.....everything works just fine, except i notice that sometimes the throttle rotor gets stuck sometimes.......if i drive the car and park it for a bit, when i com back out i have to mash on the gas pedal to get it unstuck......i am using my y7 throttle body with the y8 throttle rotor and spring.....i am also using the y8 throttle cable........any suggestions?.....did i tighten the throttle rotor too much?

 

try cleaning and lubricating the the cable. mines use to stick too and that helped me.

 

i am pretty sure that it isnt the cable.......because it did it with my original cable and the y8 cable.....

 

Mine does this too. Except it does it within 2 seconds of letting off the pedal. Its annoyyinggggg... Except i dont try to fix mine. I just deal with it

 

yeah, its nothing that i can't live with but i would like to figure out wtf is causing it......

 

Try spraying graphite oil on the whole rotor and make sure there's no carbon built up on the inside of the throttle body........helped me out

 

There is a little screw that stops the rotor from returning to far this may need to be adjusted. If its out of adjustment or missing the throttle will close to far and stick I have seen this a couple times hope it helps
