carpet is out now what?
i went to clean my civic yeserday and i found a good amount of mold so i am tearing it out. now that it's out what are some things you guys do when you have it out. maybe there's sum things i'm missing. i'm not taking the tar off because it's still a dd and i don't have the time i need to have the car back together tonite.
yea i know i'm going to bleach the whole floor because the carpet was moldiy and the floor under was soak. damn gf forget about unopen soda and leave's them in the car to freeze and thneunfreeze and pop they go.
I removed my carpet to to clean up years of moisture ,,when i was down there i removed all that "tar",,then put down 2 coats of truck bedliner...then some sound deadining in certain spots
Thats a good point. I bought this stuff at home depot, it looks like a foil coated bubble pack. You can find it in the insulation section. It's pretty light and will give your carpet a padded feeling. It also helds dampen alot of the road noise. I think you can get a roll for about $15 and I put 2 strips from the back seats, under the front seats, and barely up the firewall. Then put a piece over the exhaust tunnel. It's cheap, its not permanent, and I noticed a pretty significant noise difference.

******* bed liner!!!!!! thats what the ******* who sold me my car did and now i cant getr it up. and as for your soda problem, kick her i the teeth!!!
ACC has a nice molded carpet that runs about 100 or 110 shipped and its molded to the car but you do have to cut the holes in it yourself which is no big deal but they have all the factory colors and custom i was very pleased with their product
Just take the carpet and drape it over the fence... spray it down with a hose and put laundry detergent on it... scrub it with a big horse brush... spray it down, let it dry in the sun... it will look like new
yea get that tar out... thats what i gotta do when i get some money... best way i have heard to do so is to take dry ice & put it on top of the tar & then chip it away w/ a screwdriver or paint shipper
thankx guys i ended up cutting it and reusing the back half for now till i can get another molded carpet because this cheap roll of crapet just won't do it. but it will make the gf happy till i have one.
o yea if she didn;t own the car i prob would of beat her i was not happy. i told her next time she's cleaning with her tongue
