Default How much power on ebay intercooler?

We were tuning my H22 at the shop saterday and seemed to hit a wall at 21 to 22 psi.It just to seem that it stopped making power efficiently. The more we turned the boost up the worse it seemed.I have one of those huge ebay intercooler and it flowed good till about 580 or so wheel.Has anyone else ran into this problem or does it seem something else is going on.The iat seemed good..

honda air temp sensors respond too slow to pick up any change during a dyno pull, so don't pay attention to your datalog. Put a better ic on there, it'll be well worth your time....

Look into density difference between no name cheap FMIC's and something good like a Precision. It's worth the extra money.

I vote you buy a Tony1 intercooler if you want to make power.

good to know, suggestions on on a better alternative? aem has a calibration for a gm sensor which i found for 30-35bucks, i think the aem sensor was double that. any experiences with either of these?

Go with a Garrett Core...

I'm sure with some searching you could find a better price on that core as well.

Anything is better than an ebay IC..I've seen people get away with making 500-600 hp on the IC, but whose to say that they wouldn't have made 40-60hp more..Save yourself the headaches and go with something that works..

Just to update we dyno'ed it again tonight. It went from 577whp 387trq to 644whp 455trq at the same boost level.Very happy with just a simple intercooler swap.I will post the graph as soon as I can
