Default drag city banning, ca ***update!***

here is the most recent update for the newest track in so cal.

it will be a state of the art facility in banning , ca next to palm springs i believe?

looks like we will have another great race track that we can all attend here in cali which was much needed as palmdale will be gone this year.

Must be nice to live in a state with more than one decent track.

pomona...u know this man.(so cal) 4SURE i dont think you will find 1 racer in cali who does not love pomona, if it was open every day there would be a line of car's off to the 10 freeway tryin to get in!
hope drag city open's this year or ever BUT it is a good drive for people who live in LA a few hour's with traffic, for traffic

went racing 2 weekends ago at barona. no plans to extend the track due to land and fundage. i know that a new owner was brought on. at the event i was the only import/front wheel drive car there and welcomed by the barona staff and racers. barona has several events happening throughout the year and i have been told that they will never turn away a racer, no matter what car you are bringing. always a great place to get some passes in.

anyone that has seen the barona track would know that at the end of the 18th shutdown, there is a pretty decent sized valley.

ive always been treated good buy the barona officials too. i cant wait to finish my new car, because yes.... you get some good times there despite the altitude.

you are correct, there is plenty of land around the facility but it isn't owned by the track. trust me, i've had this discussion with several people involved with the barona track and no plans to extend to a 1/4 mile.

in any case, i don't want to thread jack the topic which is banning...hope banning becomes a reality and the track continues with the development

things are good. in the vw community were a few years behind honda on making drag hp power...but were all getting close to the 600whp level. we were at 495whp on jesse's in late 06 and mine will/hopefully be near the 600whp level soon. like buttt...seems now that for every 50hp we gain we break something new...and slows progression. still...we keep building and not give up.
