i basically pieced a turbo kit together similar to a drag it for my 94 gsr and now im looking into a clutch. would an act heavy duty press. plate and stock street disk handle be good enough to handle 10lbs of boost? im getting this kit new from a friend that hooked it up for really good price. any suggestions would help

from what i researched, thats not that good of an idea. i'll have my fmax kit in my gsr soon, and only running at 7psi, and everyone ive talked to said to get the xtreme pp and the stock organic disc, which is what i ordered and should be here soon. its just the HD and stock plate is only 30% more holding power than stock. thats not a lot. clutchnet stage 2 is also recommded highly by the users here.

Do not get ACT, the pressure plates used are made poorly. Meaning it grabes all at once, which is not good on axles, mounts, etc... It is best to find something that slips, for lack of a better word when it starts to engage. If you are looking for a good clutch look into the Clutch Specialties or Clutchnet Stage III. I am sure the Clutchnet Stage II could even handle the power, but you might as well go with the racing disk set-up in the Stage III.

the xtreme press. plate is overkill.
all you need is a heavy duty pressure plate up to 350hp.
get a sprung 4 puck with the HD plate and it will work fine.

wil
