My 91 DA is getting some fresh paint in a couple of weeks...should I repaint it factory black?..I think is metallic, I'm not sure..or should I add some Pearl to it or any Ideas...post up pics of your black Honda's or Acura's...thanks....

its a link to a guys thread where hes asking about nighthawk black pearl and other colors of black, and what are the differences of each. It seems as if its a toss up, and nobody really know.s there doesnt seem to be a straight answer, but this may be a good start for you to do research.

im not even saying that, a new thread may help. Someone may come in and post that actually knows a difference. I wanted to paint my eg black, but I could never find the truth on what color was what. Hopefully we can find out for sure.

 

fer sure...I'm with the NBP... its true...it sounds cool...and not gay as Flamenco black...ha ha...

 

Black is a tough colour to get right, many time it has a mix of other colours to make it appear deep or flat, the less concentration of other colours the better, then you get a deep black that has no flakes or pearls in it, if i was painting black i would go for a House of Kolor BC25 black solid Kolor base and a lot of clear to make it shiny

 

Here is my 99 GSR and it has Nighthawk Black Pearl. Really you can only see the pearl in strong direct light, otherwise it just looks straight black

i believe the nighthawk has a blue flake in it and the flamenco has a brown flake.
