so pretty much the only way to get good acceleration out of the tranny would be to completely change the gears?

Of course. You can't put magic tranny fluid in and expect it to have shorter gears.

go with the EK or EG...ahah i'm just not a big fan of the sol....as for the tranny, your best would be a custom tranny. I've talked to a guy who build a tranny with different synchros from different D trannys.

I understand, but currently there isn't a D2B tranny adaptor. But Bense (Civic/Del Sol moderator) would know pretty much everything on where to start to piece together a hybrid tranny.

id agree with bmoua (sp?), go with the EK or EG. Unless you like the del sol more for some reason (that roll down back window is pretty damn rad), the civics would be lighter, and you can do the same thing to them as the del sol sooooooo....why not just save weight? all that translates to is mo' powa

and if i'm not mistaken, del sol's are rather heavy aren't they?

An ex tranny with a better final drive and LSD will be plenty for a 250whp d-series.

I pray you're boosting it because going N/A will be a hard road for a d-series.

i wouldn't spend that much time on a custom trans unless i'm a hardcore track driver or just had the money to blow.

yeah i know i need boost to get those numbers... well i dont but it wont be worth the money to build an n/a d series, especially for only 250 whp. besides boost = fun!!!!!!
