head studs

Default head studs

well i was tighening down my head bolts and the one head stud its lose and was unscrewing. is there anything special i should do to tighten them? or jus get an allen wrench and give her hell

yep nothing special tighten the stud and then tighten the nut.

Do you have Head Studs or bolts?...there is a difference.

it says studs multiple times and he makes mention of an alen key. I dont know of any head bolts that get tightened with an allen key.

yea head studs sorry for confusing..... so i just give them hell and tighten as much as i can?

tighten the stud down as much as possible with an allen key, but torque the head down to spec.

well it turns out the threads in the block were stipped out som how! i took the stud out and it looks like it was heli coiled before but somone did a really bad job. so i have to get a kit now.... anyone know the thread patter for a b18b head stud? the threads that go into the block!

i think it is M12 1.5???
