Tokico HP's with Tein S. Tech springs?
I was thinking of a Tokico HP and the Tokico spring combo, but the drop is only 1.5" all the way around. I was looking at the Tein S. Tech springs which drop it 2" in the front and 1.7" in the rear.....my question is - would the HP's be able to handle that drop, or would the matched 1.5" springs be better?
the whole tokico setup would be better just because those shocks are made specifically to handle those spring rates and that drop..not saying you couldnt use the teins..but they have the possibility of busting soon after you put them on and then that would be a waste of money...get the KYB AGX's then you can put any spring on them
I have them and I love them

I'll probably get the Tokico setup. The drop isn't too bad I guess. I just have mine slammed right now so it'd be a bit weird. I would get the AGX's but the pricetag is a bit much since I have to put springs on top of that.
that is very true...i mean if you have the money go with the AGX's but if not the tokico setup is pretty nice from what ive heard...yea its not that great of a drop but its better than stock right? Sometimes..very rarely but sometimes you can find a full set of AGX's on ebay that someone bought and didnt use or they got the wrong part for really cheap...thats how I came about mine
Yea....it's rare that you find that though. But the rise in suspension will help my camber problem out pretty nice. I went through a set of low pro's in the front in maybe 6 months....**** wore down so much the metal in the tire showed up and it made a big gash in the inner side of the drivers tire.
Now I'm rolling stocks in the front and the drivers side is jacked....bald from halfway all the way to the inner side and a bit of metal is showing up. Crazy crazy.

I had the same problem with my tires before..to much of a drop so I raised it up quite a bit and no more problem..I still have a 2.5" drop but my camber isnt bad at all with stock 15's on it..ive had new tires for about 5 months and no sign of wear..the tokico setup would be the best way to go especially if you dont have like 500 bucks to throw down just on shocks.
check this out..its a set of KYB GR-2s and springs...1.6inch drop...289 bucks.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...sting

Might go with the Tokico's....and I have GR2's on my car right now. They don't like to handle drop that well....bounces like *******.
yea i know..but that spring and shock combo would work fine...I dont much like gr-2s either lol..I had them at first and then was like wow i just wasted a bunch of money and got the agx's...they bounce more than *******..more like a black girls ***
Yea....something like that. It's crazy. The other thing I don't like is the fact that I hit a little pothole and it feels like my car is going to fall apart.
yeah isnt that the worst feeling in the world..it feels like your whole car just dumped onto the ground and parts are going to start flying everywhere..I hated that feeling...get whatever you can just to get that to go away..I couldnt stand that crap
I've been driving like that for a year now...at first it wasn't too bad, then I think the shocks blew and now it's boing boing everywhere LOL.
yea i know what you mean..I bought the gr-2s all around and at first it was awesome..then as days went buy it started getting worse and worse
..the fronts help up fine for some reason but the rears blew in a few days

I have those KYB GR'2 with the german springs. That are for sale on ebay and they are great. It's not the biggest drop but the ride is great.
i have s-tech springs with gr-2 shocks. I love the springs for a good ride, not stiff so it doesnt improve handling that well. I would suggest going with the tokico blues for a better shock for that drop.
