Default yaaay, stripped the rear interior, take a look!!!

Earlier today I was wondering if I should strip my interior, I see so many crx's having stripped interior, it makes me want to do it, so i figured, what the heck...but i didnt want to do the WHOLE interior, just the rear. So I saw one CRX on H-T that did just the rear, and it looked nice, so here it go's.

3 PICS that I took to show you guys...will take more later

seat shot

and number 3...

or YOU LIKE?

i weighed EVERYTHING I got 52 lbs for the rear interior...and 15 for my spare tire...so a total of 67lbs. ( i didnt believe it either ) so i had my mom come out and help me, and keep track of the weight, so we wrote it down, and yes...67lbs exactly, im so excited, i thought it would be 20-25lbs. YAAAAAAY

and im getting a roll cage, what point and brand would you guys recommend?

thx for the help

ive had stripped cars and i hate that **** as a daily driver.

too much noise. plus, when you go to the race track, you get bumped in a different class, or some kid will blame his loss on your car being gutted out. not worth it unless its a FULL OUT RACE CAR. in my opinion.

but if youre gonna do it, i also recommend stripping the tar/sound deadener too.

LOVE IT!

but like streetwerkz said, its not really worth it unless its a race car. if its a day to day car interiors rule.

yep you start hearing all sorts of crap, high pitch of the fuel pump, rocks hitting the bottom and all the squeaks and squeals seem amplified 5x

i like it..
forget interiors, they are just weighing you down.. i run around with my civc hatch interior pretty much removed as my daily. my GF doesnt like it so much... but the noise doesnt seem that bad to me. next on my list is to remove the sound deadening and get some lexan rear windows.. but i will be transitioning to another car as dd and turning this one into my racecar.

sorry everyone, i meant to tell everyone...it is a track car/autox car, i have a 2000 civic hatch as my daily driver.

i mean, im not looking for hardcore performance because of this, i did it to shed a few pounds...which turned to be 65 + whatever the a/c is...cuz i have no a/c.

i really like it, and want to keep it this way

Exactly...and lets face it the back interior of a CRX has to weight about 10lbs max. Not really worth it IMO....to each there own.

Why would you want to take the weight out of the back you need it to come out of the front more.

yeah...its deffinently more than 10lbs...i thought MAYBE i would get 15-20lbs...so i weighed it...and got 52lbs for everything in the back without the tire. I was like...theres obviously a mistake, cuz none of this stuff is really that heavy...So i get my mom to come out, and bring a pad, and write down everything, and yes, it turned out that the rear of the crx is 52lbs....in a 1991 crx dx

believe me or not, doesnt matter, i weighed it twice and got the EXACT same result...and just because you dont want to strip your interior and dont like it, its not your car, its my car and i want to strip it. thx g

i like the look of a stripped interior but i decided to re-upolster and refinish the interior in my hatch. keeps up that sleeper look with a full interior plus its a DD so the sound deadening is greatly appreciated when your driving a hundred plus miles a day

lol. i did the unthinkable. i put about 20 pounds of dynamat INTO my car in the rear and even put all the interior back in haha

but its an hf, lighter than an si, so its equal enough to me, but i dont do autocross or anthing like that I stick to street, especially since the only place to race in an hour away and cost 60 to take part ONCE!

i have a dx that weighs...NOW...without a/c and with the whole stripped interior, weighs probably 2010lbs.

Your only 17 so it probably won't bother you much, but in a few years after you get a little older you will hate it. By then though you will probably have another crx because everyone seems to go through them like water.

its a 1991 honda crx DX....the rear interior for the dx is the same as the si's i THINK...dont quote me on that...but my friend has a 91 si...only thing different is the door panels, seats, floormats, sunroof...and the stock engine...

idk really, my rear interior ... IS MINT LIKE CRAZY

dunno, to answer you question
