for the second question, as far as your old c-clips look okay it should be fine, if they look worn/corroded at all I'd replace them.
I'm sure honda carries them.

"c-clips" as you call them are called Keepers.
I have yet to see a set of keepers go bad (usually they get lost). Retainers are known to give out before the keepers.

you need to look at the edges of the keepers ( the edge that fits into the valley of the valve). if they show a worn flat edge, replace. You should replace anyways. Those keepers were worn on a certain seat pressure and max pressure. Now youre increasing all of the above. They do go bad btw. I used to work for DPR, and we always replaced the keepers.
