DOHC ZC?
I just bought a jdm DOHC ZC today, there is a little box that says tec on it rite next the the distributor and it has a plug with 2 wires and i was wondering were do plug the to or if i have to plug it up...what does it do??
run the wires to your MPFI distributor. Honda decided to move one of the sensors out of the distributor to the exhaust cam. I think this has been covered before, a search should reveal the specifics.

The little box is for the cam angle sensor. You will have to change your wiring harness around a bit , as the SOHC cam angle sensor is located inside the distributor. Somebody around here should have a diagram for hooking it up.

The distributor off of your D15 will not bolt up to the ZC head. Moreover, you must convert from DPFI to MPFI if you have a DX, STD, or LX model.
If you do not have the connectors for the wiring harness that goes to your distributor, the connectors off of an 88 - 89 Integra will work.

2 Choices:
1) Run it as OBD0. Use the stock distrubuter and the cylinder position sensor (the box that says Tec). It's easy to rewire if you already have MPFI wiring.
2) Run it as OBD1. This requires the "gray plug" distrubuter, and you don't need the cylinder position sensor.

ok, to install the DOHC ZC in an OBD0 MPFI car, just change the wiring harness for the distributor. Go to the junkyard and the get the harness side connectors for the distributor from an 88 - 89 Acura Integra. Connect these wires (either by making a subharness, or re - pinning them) in place of the connectors that go with your SOHC engine. Don't bother even trying to get the SOHC distributor working with the DOHC ZC engine. If you need a distributor for the DOHC ZC, use an 88 - 89 Acura Integra one. (The engine you get it off of must be the type with a black valve cover, brown valve cover engines have vacuum controlled advance and will not work.) You will also need an upper radiator hose off of an 84 Accord. Everything else should just bolt right up with no hassles. I looked at your build thread. I probably wouldn't reccommend running the ZC with a stock SOHC computer and a turbocharger. I suspect it will run a bit lean. Get your computer chipped for boost (best option) or use a PM7 (stock JDM DOHC computer) or PG7 (88 - 89 Acura Integra computer) and a piggyback computer or other engine management device.
