hey yalls im trying to take apart a damn d15 tranny i've gotten all the bolt out and the top plate is seperated but will only come up about 1.5" or 2"s can anyone tell me if im missing something i mean it will not come apart for nothing any help will help

Do you mean the actual transmission off the motor block? or your bell housing?

can anyone tell me what im missing to get my damn bell housing off my tranny? i have all bolts that i know of off and the bell housing will go up about 2 inches but wont come off... any help neone

 

snap ring at the top of the housing
remove the 3/8 squre plug and open the ring while you pull the housing up
