Rays lugs are just made to work very well on rays wheels but you can put them on whatever wheels you have don't really matter.. I have rays lugs on my mugen wheels and they work fine..

I ran Rays lugs on my 5Zigen wheels. In fact, I would wager the very tight clearance due to the large nuts would help with protecting the wheels, its very hard to get a tool in there with so little space. The flat black I had looked very nice too, when new.
However, after 6 months of using them, swapping wheels once a month for autocross, my Rays lugs were already starting to show signs of wear and damage. The first thread in each nut was starting to separate from the nut. Never allowed an impact to get anywhere near them, always torqued by hand with a torque wrench, they're just that soft and weak. In fact, when I lost my 7 sided lock key, a couple of hammer taps was all that was necessary to use a 19mm 12-sided socket on them. They are soft enough that you can force them into the socket, with the socket bending and cutting into the metal to fit, to remove them. Took the mechanic all of 5 minutes to remove all 20 of my lugs, including the 4 "locks", without any special tools.
