that and the dpfi intake manifold is a bit shorter than the mpfi intake manifold. so u might need a longer coupler if u buy the si/ex intakes systems.

the si intake will fit on a dx ... iv done it. actually for some reason it fit better on the dpfi then it did when i put mpfi in. go figure.

I had an aem on my d15b2 dpfi. the carb number on it is specifically for 88-91 si/ex's but you may be able to get away with it.
pic of it. personally i think it fit better on the d16z6 mpfi that was swapped in

my friend has to go to the ref so a ex/si intake won't work, that's my whole problem. i know aem and injen are carb legal but aem doesn't make the intake for a dx anymore.

why spend the money on a K&N when its only a dpfi

same reason ANY body does... better performance.
I use a ZEX filter with a short piece of 3" piping attached to where the stock air box used to be. Better response, more passing power on the freeway, and slightly better gas mileage.
ps.. I also used a Jackson Racing drop-in filter. Didn't feel much difference from stock paper filter. (Sorry Mr. Jackson)
