Default How to remove e-brake?

Hey all. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find anything. I have a '92 Civic DX and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the e-brake handle off. I'm wanting to put a different one on to match my shift **** but the thing feels like it's glued on there!

It should twist and pull off if you use enough force.

Well I don't have vice grips but I'm guessing some good pliers should do the trick.

Well I finally got mine off. For anyone wanting to do this, just save yourself the hassle and get a hacksaw. I recommend cutting vertically down the length of the handle. You're going to tear the crap out of it anyway just trying to yank it off, so don't feel bad about cutting it off. Just be careful that you don't cut into your button like I did.
