high idle when in park automatic dohc zc trying to help out a friend

my buddy has a dohc zc with an automatic transmission, and when he turns the car on it idles around 2 grand until he puts it it park. even after the car is warmed up and he puts it into park the idle jumps back up and sits at 2 grand. i was thinking maybe the eacv valve might need to be cleaned but i dunno if maybe its something else cuz its auto. i have a mt and that solved my problem but i dont wanna rip his apart for no reason if thats not it. anyone with automatic expeirence please help.

Might be a long shot, but which ECU are you using?

Bump this up.
I have a CRX with sohc ZC with Auto tranny and its doing the same thing.
I checked all the vacumm lines bleed the radiator. It has a 90 integra auto ecu right now. and sits at idle at 2k.

If I swap a 89 si ecu in it it sits at 1500

How can I fix? any help is appreciated
