go ask the guys in the integra forum since they're b-crazy. I personally would recommend going LS/VTEC for 1, you have a wider selection of cams and 2, you'd be able to tune it for better power throughout the entire band since you have that extra lift when you need it.

Its the same thing as doing a head gasket job. You do it right, it'll last just as long as a stock gsr. You do it wrong, it'll leak etc blah blah. People have heard bad things mainly becaues idiot high school kids heard about LS/VTEC and began trying to do it themselves without following the necesarry steps.

"WOW LS/VTEC how do you do it"

"just swap the head man its hella easy"

Kid swaps head over and does a 1/2 *** job on timing and wires VTEC up without taping or soldering the connectiongs.... engine leaks at head gasket losing compression...kid doesn't know you're only able to use a head gasket once....it leaks after he tightens it again....then we have crappy LS/VTEC stories.

every motor is only as reliable as the builder and tuner.

lsvtecs are very reliable if built right

last time it was dyno'd last summer, it was a little shy of 280whp with a stock bottom end and just a chipped ecu.

yeah it's possible he could get up to 350 hp if he just went and got a real tune and not just a chipped ecu plus hes only pushing 8psi. and i used to be a d series man until i bought my h22.

yeah it is
on a front wheel drive vehicle there is a definite power limit and certainly <350
You would need to stage boost in the early gears to do anything with that, even then you would need some really good tires
but whatever...

If you have a civic with 200-250 whp you'll be fast enough to kill yourself.
