Default going turbo/stock integra LS motor.

i was thinking about going down the turbo route. i wanna do some research first and ask around.

whats the higest i can boost SAFEly for street use, such as daily driving, on my stock internals.

how much power could i be looking at.

i just want a little extra power for cheap $$$. so far my integra only has a GSR tranny w/ stage 1 exedy clutch and 8lbflywheel. its great fun, the motor has a bit over 170K on the motor.

she has never given me any problems, i love the car to death and treat it well.

thanks

oh also, im gonna be building a b20vtec on the side inside my room, so this is just a temporary thing, just for some extra fun.

i ran my stock ls turbo for a good 15k miles until i decided to swap.
if you have the correct parts and a proper tune it should last you a good while.

i was on a t3/to4e w/ around 9psi and was tuned on crome by church automotive

on stock internals you shouldn't go over 5psi, even with a tune, the internals were not made for forced induction and you WILL have problems, as many PPL here on HT know the rule of thumb in modding your car is the big 3

10 psi on my DD stock block LS, i obtained 270whp off it! Got tired of 270 and building new block for 400 :-)

If you turbo it.. pay a little extra make sure the parts your getting are worth it, and build a solid kit, dont skimp out and you should be fine.

Leak down test and Compression test is a MUST! to make sure the motor is in good shape for this!

Dont listen to this...there are many cars making into the mid and upper 300s on stock internals, but i dont recommend it....

If you want your car to be fun and reliable, dont go crazy w/ power, but settle for something in the mid to upper 200s...Also, dont base ANYTHING on PSI as it means different things for different turbos.

Personally i would get a log or short ram, 3" dp and exhaust, T3/T04E 57trim (or GT3251E if you have a little more money), and get that setup tuned....you should be able to make 250-300whp on that on less than 11psi (stock map sensor limit)....The FI forum has a lot more info for you if you need....
