Stainless steal brake lines w/ hardline question???
Well ive been doing plenty of research on this topic for some time now and ive had no luck finding the answer i was looking for.
But the question is:
Im going to relocate my 40/40 Prop valve behind the dash and i want to have fittings in between the firewall so i can connect the lines from the inside to the engine bay. I want to have HARD lines on the inside and have stainless steel braided lines in the engine bay. I was wondering if something like this would work?? Would the transition be ok for my brake lines or no?? I dont think it'd be a problem but i just want to make sure.
All in all, I want hard lines coming from my prop valve inside the cabin to the fittings in between the firewall and on the other side(engine bay) have SS braided lines going from the fittings to the master cylinder and hardlines that go to the rear brakes.
Any input would be awesome, thanks!

People have done it before, some have used SS lines from the master to the prop,
and some will complain that the SS will flex/stretch, but lots of people seem to have ran them fine.
I remember seeing an argument about it in one of the wiretucking threads I think.

but i was just wondering if having hardlines in conjunction with SS braided lines will cause me any problems or does it really matter?

running them together is fine. Its the flexing (softness) of the ss lines that some people complain about

Thanks a lot pee wee. I didnt think it would be any problems but just wanted a second opinion..
Also i heard of hardlines leaking, whats this about?

The only way a hardline will leak is if the Flare at the end was not done properly.
Here is a thread right up and how he did the brake lines on his car, guy did a REALLY nice job, take a look at all the apges and the pics. The brakes start on page 6.
