The meet will be going down on the 15th as scheduled. The info from http://www.weather.com for the Austin area is looking pretty good (as of 8:00PM the 14th). Mostly sunny, 10% chance of rain, High of 91 and low of 72. So I hope to see you all out there. Again... we will be meeting at the top of the parking garage at the Embassy Suites on Riverside Dr. The map to that location is in a link below. See ya there
To ensure nobody gets lost on the way to the meet or during the cruise, my number is 512-669-8945 (Kyle)
DATE CHANGED: Though we still had a meet on the 4th, we've decided to try this again on Sunday, July 15th. The timelines and directions will remain the same with the exception of the meeting location which is listed below. This will give the weather a chance to clear up and an opportunity for those of you who didn't come out today to do this thing over.
Okay, the Dyno idea fell through. I've spoken with nearly every Dyno in the area and they will all be closed for July 4th.
I've decided to turn it into a small cruise around Austin that will end at Old Settler's Park for the BBQ, Fireworks, etc. So far here's what I'm thinking, if anyone has any route suggestions, feel free to speak up.
1) Meet at the Embassy Suites Parking garage (top level) on Riverside around 12:00 Noon
2) Hang out there till around 1:00 and then load up and start the "Cruise"
3) Head west on Riverside a block and turn left on Barton Springs Rd.
4) Barton Springs to Mopac (Loop 1) North
5) Follow Mopac north to 2222 west/north
6) Take 2222 to 620 and continue through 620 to Bullick Hollow and on down Volente
7) We'll take a left onto Volente and continue to Lime Creek Rd (Lots of twisties
)
8) From there, a few small streets will take us through to Brushy Creek Rd, on down Hairy Man Rd, and into Hwy 79 which will take us straight to Old Settlers park.
The map on Google is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience but the computers at my office can't seem to handle a task as simple as altering/creating a map and totally dicked it up. I'll fill everyone in on the route once we meet up at the Embassy Suites Parking Garage. Here's a map for getting there ---> http://www.mapquest.com/maps/m...78704
If you decide not to do the cruise you can just plan on Old Settler's around 3 PM.
Okay, I will be selling Hambugers and HotDogs at the BBQ ($1/$0.50). Bring whatever other food/drinks you may want. Also, I need at least 5 people if not more who can bring a small grill to do so (PM me to let me know), otherwise grilling space will be very limited. And if everyone can bring the smallest bag of charcoal they can find
Post up and start claiming your food and it will be guaranteed!!!. Anyone left will just have to hope and pray I bring enough
Here's a deal, if you bring a grill, 2 burgers and 2 dogs are yours at no cost.

I'm working through setting up a Dyno for about 6 hours that day, probably start the runs around 10 AM. If there are any good, reputable tuners in the area, send them my way or let me know how to get in contact with them.
If there is anyone else here in Austin that would like to assist in putting this together to make sure its a good meet, let me know. Also, any suggestions are welcome.

If you plan on going or just think you might end up going, reply. And if you want to use the Dyno, I need to get numbers soon for the shop. The more people want to jump on the Dyno, the cheaper it will be

I'll bring my famous potatoes, but as far as bringing a Honda I will disappoint.
I still love tuners and REAL cars.
Tell me what I need to bring, if I'm still in town I will do what I can.

Sounds good man, can't wait.
I'm talking to a few shops about using a DYNO that day, the first one will be closed that day so it's on down the list.
