Default Headliner replacement technique?

I am looking at purchasing a used '98 Accord DX. It has 2 issues that need attention: the one that is most irksome is that the cloth headliner is falling down.

Any ideas on how to remove the headboard and scrape off the glue etc and glue in a new cloth??

Thanks for any info.

you pretty much hit it on the nose, source out the fabric that you want, pull down the headliner, pull off the old cloth, scrape as much of the old foam/glue off of the headliner. find a friend to help you with the next couple steps...spray the pay of the cloth and the headliner with 3m spray glue, stretch the new cloth over the headliner, take out all the bubbles, let it dry over night, than cut off the excess. reinstall and your ready to go
