in insurance you would be paying anything between 280 - 380 easy....
now let say you get the s2k and you can pay the insurance some how...
what are you going to do if you wan to start modding the car
s2k - modding = not fun =/

I'm 19
Got my s2k for $12,000
Only paying like $155 a month for Full Coverage.
If this is your first car and you've never driven RWD car, then i wouldn't recommend it, Takes a while to get used to driving a S. If you do get it, be careful, lots of blind spots w/ top up.

how about you grow ***** and pay for it by yourself without the help of your parents...then you can truely call it your car.

Im 19, i have NEVER had help from my parents, I work my *** off, work full time and and go to school/ trying to pay off all my credit cards, saving for my s2k so at the end of the year im going to put 10 GRAND CASH downpayment after YEARS of wanting the car. and you come and get 7K free. shoot me in the head. lucky bitch. just dont turn around and think your the **** doing donuts in from of your school like other spoiled young dicks. my homeboi is 18 and just bought his S2k, his in high school and pays $368 a month and put 2K down, only thing parents help for is gas and insurance, but thats still $400+ a month help. am i complaining too much?

by the way, dont listen to some of these guys. a lot of guys on here try to act wise and speak with wisdon when it comes to the subject of a highschool kid owning these cars. they lie to you about insurance costs and stuff because they are jelous. anyways man i was in the same boat. im still in highschool also, graduating in 2 months
cant wait. anyways ill be realistic with you. i worked full time during the last 3 summers and part time diring the rest of the year when i have school. I WORK MY *** OFF. people dont realize that kids cant just go out and buy ****, i mean we dont even have credit. i managed to pull together 7 g's (sold my old car and other crap) and put it down on the car. i then owed 10 on the car. got a 4 year loan. i pay 236 a month. insurance is 160 FULL COVERAGE though nationwide. my name is first on the title but my dads is second. he was also my cosigner on the loan. anyways, i afford it and love it. i work for it. i pay for it. if anyone has a problem with this then they can kiss my ***. women love the car too. just ignor ricers. most of them will hate you (my guess is they spend all their money on drugs and **** so they cant afford an s2000
) also, be smart with your money, dont just go start buying parts and **** for it. EBAY is a great site
i have hit some good deals there.
anyways good luck
for future refrence i got your back. its nice to see other young peeps doing big things.
P.S. AP1 FTMFW

i wouldn't make such a broad statement. there are plenty of civics out there that would hand you your *** and a few bucks to reattach it when they're done with it.

i agree that some young people can afford it, and can do so easily(with the right down payment, and circumstances). You are one of those people, and i salute you for that.
But you have to come to realize that your situation is not everyone elses. So to say dont listen to these people trying to act wise is just ignorant. They are giving very good advice for the majority of young people contemplating wether or not to buy an s2000.
There was a thread on here where the kid was only making 800 a month and was asking if its worth it to pay over 600 a month just to own the car. That is rediculous. Im afraid a thread like this one will lock in his decision to go ahead and purchase the car.
I am in no way dissing your decision or trying to pick a fight. I am just trying to save some kid from getting into the same mess i did. Although im not in it too bad, it would have been better had i never bought my s.

yeah but you can dump loads of money into a civic, but they still wont be worth much. its harder to get *** in too lol. i have been raped by civics lol. but i mean i could sell the s2k and get like 5 civics. im not all about speed, i like nice cars with a pretty decent amount of speed. i know civics are good cars and reliable but they just arnt for me. i have to have leather interior and power windows
i also wouldnt buy a car that came stock with hubcaps. not my style.
