Default Chop, Cut, Rebuild (NO 56k) ***UPDATED***

Well, 3 weeks ago I wrecked my bike.
Not gonna get into details except for I was being stupid off the main road by my friends house. Luckily i had all my gear on and came away with a scrape on my knee (no knee protection, my next investment) and a broken thumb (im guessing my thumb jammed into the road when i was rolling).

Had my ICON helmet, boots, jacket, and gloves on.
Jacket came out with 2 holes but not a scratch on me.
Boots had a couple scuffs, but still holding strong.
Helmet never touched the ground.
Gloves held together perfectly, i didnt see a scrape on them.

Anyways onto the bike and the rebuild.

Heres what it started out as:

Most of you probably saw my thread "Post up ur flat black/stealth bikes" thread. Well, thats my plan and goal for this bike once its fixed.

Heres my motivation:

Parts that have been ordered:

- New Handle Bars
- NEW Stator Cover w/ Gasket
- Red Reflective Rim Tape
- NEW Flush mounts
- NEW Integrated Taillight w/ Blinker (get rid of those hideous factory ones)
- NEW Stomp Grip
- NEW Progrip Clear Tank Pad
- NEW Front and Rear Stands
- NEW Motorcycle Cover

Still Needing:

- NEW Upper Fairing
- NEW Windscreen
- NEW Mirrors

HERES THE PROGRESS:

The Bike laying in pieces

The Right Busted up fairing

Broken Handle Bar

Busted Stator Cover

Working on patching up the Rear Fairing

Working on patching up a dent in the tank

Getting the Front Fender painted

***UPDATE*** (10 May 07)

More Parts are in

Love my new stands

Got the Frame Sliders on

Integrated Taillight Installed

New Upper Fairing Stay installed

Stickers removed and paint being stripped

RANDOM PICTURES

WILL UPDATE WHEN PARTS COME IN AND I GET MORE PARTS COMPLETED

Jeez, didn't you just get that thing?
You never even got the chance to take the uber-sweet decals off of the swingarm...

That black RR looks specially nice in that pic because the front triples dropped like an 1 or 2 and the rears sitting on a stand and lifting the tail up.. giving it the whole RCV look.

How about posting all the pictures (minus the random BS) once you're done?

i took the great stuff out of the tank. Im gonna have that dent pulled out. I used great stuff to fill in the holes as a base. I will be putting a compound over top to sand and paint.

did you use flatblack paint or primer on this?

looks like you may have a dark gray bike in a couple months instead of flat black

props though

flatblack on everything. Primer + Flatblack on the front fairing and tank.

Why do you want to sell it next year, why not just keep it? I mean you've already put all that time/effort into it.
