Default Easy but not... Rear seat removal: 88-91 civic hatchback

Okay, these are the fold-down type seats in the hatchback. Much different than the 4-door type that just comes right out. I removed the black plastic spacers on the sides of the seats and they will not slide out. I'm tryin not to damage the paneling (which is what I'm going for to put in my car). These seats will not come out. What am I not doing? There are no bolts, screws or keepers that I can see. Do I need any specific tools?

nope no special tools, just remove the two black plastic "C/E" clips and spread the two halves apart in the middle and the top back rests should come out then take off the 12mm bolt and that's it.
remove this "E/C" clip

now it removed

push the seat to the side

then remove

then do the other side, after that remove this bolt and you should be good

Good job EF001282, not very often that you see a single response post that's helpful.
