Default ITR rear sway bar

i have a 99 LS with a stock rear sway bar. i just bought a rear '96 ITR sway bar. password jdm told me it would be a stright bolt on but i tried to put it on but the D-bracket was too big for the stock base bracket that bolts to the frame. any suggestions what i can do about the D-bracket connecting to the feame? thanks.

you need the asr rear subframe reinforcement kit. its usually found for 180 but its alot cheaper then getting your rear subframe put back together. its fairly simple to install and worth every penny.

You dont need any particular one, you just need subframe reinforcement.

You can get beaks, asr, or even that cheaper one(the brand slipped my mind).

And that swar bar will make a world of difference, I installled mine probably close to 2 months ago, and I love it.

you need some sort of reinforcment kit otherwise you'll tear out the subframe. it's not pretty when it happens.

I got one from beaksproducts.com, its like 60 bucks or something.. not bad insurance for a headache that would cost a LOT more than that.

yep, thats the third brand, i always forget the name.

I believe that guy also has a how-to make your own kit, if you need it right away.
Basically you need 2 strips of metal, just to redistribute the load of the bolts onto a larger surface area.

Get the beaks. Unless you're a "baller" and have the money to buy an ASR. I have a Beaks and it works just fine. http://www.beaksproducts.com/contact.htm

the beaks kit works wonders and its not to $$$$. As for the stock endlinks they work fine with the ITR sway bar.. just make sure to do it right the first time.. im sure alot can say take ur time and get it right the first time save you money and pain in the long run...
