ok so i have a 90 ef shell ive been tryin to get ready for a motor i recently had a d16y7 given too me

it is just a bare long block with all stock internals

motor does not have valve cover
does not have intake mani or exhaust mani

i have a 4-1 header off my old z6 im goin to put on and im going to convert the motor to obd0 using dizzy injectors etc...

its mated to a rebuilt si tranny
heres the kicker

motor was free keep in mind

guy told me rod bearings are bad and the crank is not even there

so umm what would be the best thing to do

put it in the machine shop and have it honed or bored and new bearings all the way through and put aftermarket internals??? thats kinda what i have to do right??
