Questions about car setup
Hey guys i searched and couldn't find my question.
I have a 97 Acura LS and and going to mod it a little bit.
Something like this
B18B
P30 Pistions
Camgears (Probaly Skunk2)
Camshafts
Injen Short ram
Right now Greddy Header (Evenually a better one)
Fuel Rail and fuel regulator
Upgrade ECU
2.50" Piping
Skunk2 or Blox Intake manafold
upgraded Throttle body w Spacer?
Tunning
I figure about a extra 30-40HP about 160-175HP
Questions
With upgraded camshafts/pistions i NEED premium right? no more then 91 octane.
I was thinking of ITR Camshafts but i heard they don't produce any HP above 6,000 RPM's compared to Skunk2 and Crower camshafts..
I would LOVE stage 2 camshafts but they won't pass cali Smog.. So stuck with Stage 1
If i do decide to do Stage 2 i know i NEED a Valuetrain upgrade, But i have heard of issues with after market ones where you have to replace them every 1-2 years is this true?

unless you use a vtec head, itr cams will not work. they will make power to 8k on the right setup.

ok i guess i will get 403's 404's would be great but won't pass smog damit 403's will right? Plus crower valuetrain is good brand/reliable right?
Last thing what is a good brand of Strut bar? Skunk2? or JDM Type R Titanium Style Front & Rear Upper Strut Tower Bars
Suspension technique sway bars are good right?
If i reinforce my Engine can i rev it higher? How much? These ae the parts i would need right?

Strut bar brand doesnt really make a difference. its mainly for looks. it decreases flex so as long as you have one its cool. i would suggest the cheapest one, but idk if you care about looks
