Default Brakes giving out when hot

I'm having a big problem, my 96 Civic DX brakes give out. Like when the car is hot from the sun it's impossible to keep the brakes down. I have to keep the car on neutral when stopped because the car will still keep moving when i have it slammed on the brakes. Its an automatic btw, anybody know what's up with it?
