compression tester stuck in engine
hey so me and my friends were doing a compression test on my jdm 16 and after the first cylinder it came up with 125 and then we tried to screw the tube out of the engine and it wont come out. its a Snap On compression tester. what should i do
Does it keep unscrewing from the tube to the spark plug adapter?
If so, unscrew it, put some super glue on the threads and quickly screw it back in and wait a few seconds then it will unscrew right out. Ive had to do this twice and its worked.
Remember to always oil the o ring and dont screw it in tight.

its my daily driver, i was just gunna change the headgasket or fix my 87 civic and drive that and then put a gsr head on the b16 block. how hard is it to put a gsr head on it like with the wiring.
o and the tube is intact with the bart that screws into the spark plug place it just wont screw out, we've tried out hardest by hand.
alright false alarm. they got the tube out and did another compression test. we did it wrong the first time. 225 on all 4 cylinders! boost here i come

Welll I had the same problem.. nothing helped ..16 was too small ,17 was to big and didn’t fit in the spark plug hole.. so what I did was get an extension 1/2 inch and put rubber glove around the tip .. nurses rubber glove will do.. rapped it a couple of times on the tip. Then press it firm over the piece of the tester , and started with the ratchet unscrewing it.. have to press firmly down to give it grip with the rubber.. and came off great. And no damage was done to the thread.. this could easily had or could of been done with news paper .. my problem was that I was not aware that the other piece of the tester was still in the spark plug.. so when I went in put in the spark plug I tighten the tester fitting more and it was not coming off with the hose it came with or any pliers for that matter. Hope this helps
