my only concern is how hard has it been pushed.... and i would not be willing to pay that much for someone else's headache if he pushed it too hard...

That seems pretty steep to me. If I can give some advice. Go find a 94 cx for $1500-2000, and put the money in that car that you were going to pay for this one.

Just a thought.

Thats what I figured to. I would be willing to pay like $7000 for the car straight up but 8500 for it doesnt seem reasonable. We will see. I'm waiting on a reply from the seller on another forum.

One thing is this...to me. The more mods you do to a car the more the cars value depreciates. Especially when it's somehing big like a turbo kit. I don't care how reliable they can be or or long they 'generally' last...puting a supercharger or turbo car on one that doesn't come from the factory WILL deteriorate a cars life. That on top of I would NEVER pay 8500 for a car that damn old...you might as well pay 20,000 for a car that's a 98 or 99. Just doesn't make sense. I think what the above posters stated would be best...buy a generally stock one for 1500 - 2000 bucks and then put what mods you want into it and then on top of that you'll KNOW how you treat the vehicle.

You will then be sure that your setup hasn't been thrashed and you get the rewards of doing it yourself.

EDIT: I agree that's a nice build though...

a little to moddied in my opinion...if it was a fairly stock motor with simple bolt ons (which would make the car cheaper) i'd prolly pick it up but as for as is like that...too much problems that you do not want to waste money and time with bro...

The car does infact look clean. If you really want to drop that much cash on it instead of building your own this is what you should do. Either take it to a shop for a full inspection or at the very least check the compression. I'd even do a leak down. expletive for $8500 you could build yourself a K24 hatch and run around the same numbers with money invested. (turbo, SC, etc)

Though that b16 has been ******* built up to make that much power. I doubt it runs on 93 octane though.

I sent you some that I think are in your area. I'd go for the white garage-kept DX with 85,000 on it if I were you. I mean, if you were willing to spend that much on this modified car, then this stock car in mint condition wouldn't seem like much for $4,500. Out of the ones I found though I'd say it was my favorite.

thanks a lot for the help.

I am just looking for a project car as of right now and a daily driver. I dont like to drive a Mercedes every day of my life guzzling down gas.

yea it also took me about 3 months to find my last CRX. It seems like these cars are just disappearing. People are wrecking them and/or they are rusting out and thrown in junk yards. We are also losing them to all out ricers too.

Wtf, why would even think of payin that much for car like that. Yeah the body and what not are good looking but u dont know if the guy beat the living crap out of that thing. Well just like h2392si said the more stuff u put in the car the price drops, so maybe like $4500, maybe a lil more. Just like everyone said with that type of money u can pick up a eg and put all that money in the car. i got my 98 hatch for $800 runs, bodys in great shape, need some stuff but its a great car. just keep lookin arould that what i did, sooner or later ur going to come across something good...

In case GreenEHDriver or others gets confused... Samba Green is the bright green color del Sols came in. That almost neon lime green color.

I believe that is Aztec Green Pearl (BG-29P). I'm not super familiar with all the 5G colors though. I can tell you it's definately not Samba Green though.

I'd never buy a car like that unless I knew the previous owner and knew how the car was cared for. I mean for all you know that sh*t could run for years, or pop tomorrow. No, I say build your own car.
